The Fellowship of Reason is a Georgia nonprofit corporation. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, or age (though membership is restricted to adults 18 years or older). Membership requires general agreement with the philosophy of FOR.
Members receive our monthly newsletter The Eudaimonist and may attend all FOR events, including the monthly Business Meetings. Members may vote in the annual election of the Board of Trustees. Members are eligible to be Trustees or Officers (appointed annually by the Trustees) and Directors (appointed annually by the President) of the organization.
Do you live outside metro Atlanta? Currently the only chapter of FOR is in Atlanta, Georgia. We are eager, however, to share the benefits of our philosophy with those who live elsewhere, and would love to have members-at-large in other cities. Members outside metro Atlanta will receive our monthly newsletter The Eudaimonist. Member or not, if you're ever in Atlanta you're welcome to attend any of our regularly scheduled activities!
To apply for membership, just mail in a completed and signed Membership Application, along with the appropriate membership dues according to the level of membership requested. (See membership levels, detailed below.) Your application will then be considered and voted upon by the Board of Trustees at the next Business Meeting following receipt of your application. You will receive notification of the status of your application in the mail. Please refer to our current Bylaws prior to submitting your Membership Application.
Levels of Membership: (Renewing Members do not need to fill out another Membership Form!)
Regular Membership $35 annually
Lifetime Membership $700 once
